Task 2 Deliverable Debriefing Questions

Task 2 Deliverable Debriefing Questions

Having completed this review of a web 2.0 tool would you use this tool in your classroom?

Yes, because I wouldn't mind teaching computer science or a robotics club in the future. Scratch programming tool helps to develops problem solving skills, and with the new Scratch 2.0 that will be released soon, it will have collaborative elements and the ability to view the code online instead of downloading peoples projects. In addition, there will be a remix feature that allows others to experiment with other peoples codes online and see the results which would enhance self-learning. We need more critical thinkers and to help our students to be able to adapt to a changing world and make it better.

Prior to this activity, how did you typically select website or tools to use?

Usually I would use google search or news feeds like lifehacker website, TED, Diggs etc... to find something to help me to be more productive or manage my life better.

Do you have any ideas, comments or feedback on improving the web 2.0 tool selection process?

I think as teachers, we will learn more  about web 2.0 tools through networking with other teachers. In addition, teachers can attend self development workshops or teach others about whats out there for others to use. Most importantly, we must try to keep up with technology to allow us to provide the best tools in order to support and engage student's learning.
